Music in the Classroom with Lizza Obremski

Music in the Classroom with Lizza Obremski

Collaborating with Nantucket music instructor Lizza Obremski, Nantucket Lighthouse School is thrilled to be hosting ‘Music in the Classroom’, a professional development opportunity for island educators and childcare providers, generously funded by Musack. Musack’s mission is to give kids and teens a voice through music by providing guitars, drums, and support for music teachers – wherever the need arises.

Based on requests from teachers representing all island schools, Lizza has developed this two-hour workshop as an opportunity for Nantucket educators to become more confident and comfortable integrating music into their curriculum.

‘Music in the Classroom’ will be an interactive, two-hour workshop and teachers will leave with a song book, including 40 songs, and a recording of each song. In addition to teaching educators the rhythm, lyrics and movement for 40 different songs, Lizza will discuss strategies and techniques for introducing music to children. The workshop will be free and open to all thanks to the generosity of Musack.

We are very grateful for Musack’s support of our school and for this exciting opportunity. To register for this free workshop, please email Alicia Lynn or call 508-228-0427.
