NANTUCKET LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF CURRENT CAMPUS

In collaboration with the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, the Nantucket Lighthouse School proudly announces our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the addition of the Starbuck Cottage to the NLS campus on Saturday, October 9^th from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

With the school already at record-high enrollment, the Starbuck Cottage will be dedicated to serving the growing number of upper grade students at the school. The Starbuck Cottage, in addition to housing several academic classrooms, will also contain the Andy Bullington Music Room and administrative offices.

“The entire staff and I are so delighted to celebrate our newest building on campus, the Starbuck Cottage, named after the Starbuck family, who are long-time supporters of the school. Along with a passionate donor base and committed Trustees, we have successfully completed our dream of converting a residential cottage to a commercial school building to accommodate the growing demand for the school on our special Island,” said Christine Braunohler Hanson, Head of School.

The Nantucket Lighthouse School is now in its 22^nd year as a private preschool and elementary school on Nantucket with a mission to serve as a beacon for the education of the whole child with equal emphasis on ethical, social, and intellectual development.
