Starbuck Cottage Update #1 Expanding our Campus

Next year, our enrollment will increase by almost 20%, which brings us beyond maximum capacity for our current School House. A plan for the expansion of our campus has been in the works for several years, and with the increased demand for a Nantucket Lighthouse School education, the time is now to expand our campus.  

This spring, the School is beginning a $500,000 capital campaign to renovate our 1,250 square foot Starbuck Cottage for 4th and 5th grade classroom use, as well as for a dedicated music space named after our beloved and longtime music teacher, Andy Bullington. Green space that will connect the main Chace School House and the Starbuck Cottage will drastically increase our playing field for student use. 

We are working with Emeritus Development and Steve Hollister Consulting on the design and scope of the project, and our contractor is Julius Pasys of LithCon, Inc. Construction is underway and will be completed this summer, in time for school opening in September 2021.
