Most of the renovation work over the past month has been updating the Starbuck Cottage from a residence to a commercial building. The installation of our a fire suppression system took place in late May, when CC Construction excavated and connected the cottage to main water line that runs along Rugged Road. Now the proper amount of water will always be available in the rare case of a fire.
A very welcome sight is the work to complete the new green space between our current school house and the Starbuck Cottage. NLS parent Greyson Keller, owner of The Garden Group, is helping us properly drain this new area and then will install a beautiful new field of sod for our students to use for soccer, tetherball, gaga ball, and other fun outdoor games.
We look forward to the coming weeks when we will all see the greening of our campus.
